Mix and Match with “Mishmash”
Posted on December 23 2016
Spirithouse's Every Day Wear has marveled us once again with their fall/winter line now featured in all of our stores. The combination of extraordinarily interesting fabrics and unique tailoring makes for versatile and flattering tops, tunics, and bottoms. My own personal preference is the fabric/design named "mishmash" a black jersey with fascinating swirls of charcoal. There are a number of styles of tops and tunics in mishmash, each with its own figure-appropriate proportions. Depending on your shape and height, you might prefer the flare, the hi-lo, or the longer bubble-shaped tunic. The fabric not only feels great against your skin but mixes and matches with all kinds of bottoms, from bubble and slim skirts to harem pants or straight leg trousers. My personal favorite (which pulls me like a magnet when I open the closet door) is the Market Prose collared tunic, with its slits on the side and slightly longer length in back; wear it buttoned up or open-necked, alone or with something over it (like a great sweater dress in black or grey by Moyuru International). Other styles in this great fabric include The Ferris Wheel Tunic, the Linch Pin tunic, the A-Shaped Tee (which is a shorter length), and the easy-to-wear Crosswalk top (which is generously sized and works as an S/M). If you’d rather have a jumper or vest style top without sleeves in mishmash there are the Serenade Top and the A-Tank Tunic, both of which can be worn under something as a layering piece or over a turtleneck or mesh. Be sure to check them out; mishmash is not to be missed! …..And I forgot to mention that they are all easy care and made in America.
